Most crypto projects fake their traction. @AviciMoney has 5K+ people spending actual money through Visa cards.
➢ Beta launched August 2025
➢ They've hit 9,000+ signups with around 4,000 active users
➢ 5,000+ cards issued and $1.2M spent through Visa cards in 10 weeks
➢ Retention is 70% month-over-month with 35% spending growth.
➢ They've processed $800K in fiat on-ramps.
Note this were the stats up until mid Oct. That's exceptional for fintech where most struggle to keep 40%. Here's what a real crypto product looks like in 2025🧵
➠ What did they actually build?
A neobank on Solana where you hold your crypto in self custody and spend it through Visa cards without selling. No gas fees, no third party controlling your funds. Most crypto cards make you sell to fiat first or trust a centralized custodian. Avici does the opposite.
Avici was launched on @MetaDAOProject' in October 2025. The team received over $34M in commitments but used pro-rata allocation to cap the raise at $3.5M in October 2025. This means participants who were allocated tokens at the $3.5M cap paid $0.35/token, while those who got in at the $2M minimum paid $0.20.
Currently $AVICI price is $2 while mcap is ~28M. Hit $2.66 ATH in late October.
➠ How much do cards cost?
1. Virtual cards
‣ Platinum– $10 one-time fee and no recurring charges
‣ Signature– $30 for the first year, then $20 billed annually
2. Physical cards
‣ Platinum– $50 basic card fee, one-time, no recurring charges
‣ Signature– $75 card fees, $20/year from second year
They offer free, untracked delivery for both physical card options. This guarantees delivery in 3-4 weeks. For priority delivery the charges are $50 for international deliveries and this is a tracked delivery with card being delivered in 1-2 weeks. For US, the priority fees are $15. Both support Apple Pay and Google Pay. Fees are simple...
‣ Gas: $0 (Solana)
‣ Transactions: $0
‣ Forex: $0 (Visa may add 0.4-1% cross-border)
‣ ATM: $1 + 0.65%, max $250 daily
Revenue comes from interchange fees at 1.5-2%/transaction, card sales, and onramp/offramp fees. They're currently on a sublicense model so they don't capture full interchange yet. When that switches on, revenue will scale significantly.
➠ What's launching next?
1. Business accounts coming with 70+ crypto startups and DAOs on the waitlist
2. SEPA transfers so you can pay rent and salaries from crypto without converting
3. Metal cards
4. Onchain trust scores using ZK proofs for uncollateralized lending
The trust score replaces FICO by rewarding cash flow and wealth instead of debt history. Creates portable credit across countries so immigrants don't start from zero. Allows mortgages and loans against onchain and offchain assets without traditional credit checks. Longterm they're working on a payroll infra + a world reserve stablecoin.
➠ What actually works for them?
➢ The product is live with people using it
➢ $1.2M in Visa spending proves it works
➢ Revenue growing from card sales + interchange fees + onramp charges
➢ 70% retention proves PMF
➢ Self-custody removes counterparty risk
➢ Solana allows gas-free transactions
➠ Conclusion
Imo @AviciMoney is shipping and people are using it. That's rare enough to pay attention. Revolut is ~$75B and Avici is just at $28M, the valuation gap is massive if execution works. Scaling depends on user adoption beyond crypto, revenue growing when full interchange activates, regulatory environment staying favorable & trust score delivering on promises.
